Weekend happenings...
Months previous: plan a surprise weekend away for Corinne's birthday to the Hunter.
Friday night...quick stop at McDonald's half way there, surprise Corinne that Pete & I are going along on her 'weekend get-away'....all Tony had told her is to 'keep the weekend free'....
Arrive at the Hunter around 9 p.m. for Birthday cake and hot chocolate! Very happy & very surprised to find out how beautiful our little 'cabin' for the weekend was! Lazy Saturday morning, big breakfast feast and a catch up read on our books. Headed into the valley for the afternoon, enjoyed hopping from coffee shop to chocolate shop in the Hunter Valley Gardens. Took a turn at Aqua golf...a true joy to hit golf balls straight out into the water, aiming for targets & prizes...we didn't win. Home again for steaks & veggies.....yum, yum! Sunday morning, up early for meeting, spent the afternoon with one of the friends. Enjoyed looking at her collection of 'salt & pepper' shakers. Home again Sunday eve, but not before stopping for more steaks and salad at the SSS BBQ Grill! Yum Yum Yum!! Weekends always amazing me how fun they can be, more to come this weekend....stay tuned!
